Ok i don't know why but suddenly i felt i had something to blog about. It's the first time that i've put together some posts frequently in my blog. Usually, i will only blog once a month but this time was different.
On Friday night (23 January 2009), Sarah and I went to Sunway Pyramid to get a present for Hannah's birthday. We met up at 5.30 pm at Tasik Selatan and we reached Sunway Pyramid at about 6.30 pm after encountering a little traffic jam along the way. Since we had so much time, we decided to go for dinner first before buying the present. We went to Shogun for a buffet dinner as agreed between Sarah and I. Sarah booked a table to avoid having to wait for our turn to have a seat. When we got to our table, a waiter served us some appetisers like oysters and lobsters. Then, we immediately attacked the food that was available, especially sushi, since Shogun is better known for its sushi than its other cuisines. The sushi was so delicious till we kept on refilling our plates with sushi till it was full. We ate until we were so full and we decided that we would take a walk 7 times around the buffet table, which would be really weird to the other customers considering they have been seeing us at that same spot over and over again. Anyway, we had some ice-cream for dessert which was part of the buffet dinner. We should never had ice-cream as we felt so full yet again. We were basically struggling to walk properly. (ADVICE: NEVER FORCE YOURSELF TO EAT MORE IF YOU CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE).
After the dinner, we started our search for Hannah's present. By that time, we were so full till we could not even walk properly. We had to bend down a little bit so that we can walk. Other people in the mall were like looking at us in a weird manner. But what can we do? I mean that was the only way we wouldn't feel any pain in our stomachs. Anyway, after going around the mall looking for Hannah's present, we eventually felt better again and we could walk normally. We eventually bought Hannah a camera for her birthday and the cost of the camera was shared between Sarah, Alvin and me. But, i didn't know that looking for a present would be so difficult as we won't really know what a person really likes. Even Sarah was struggling to think of what her sister likes. Anyway, that was our shopping experience at Sunway Pyramid and we left at about close to 11 pm because we encountered a massive traffic jam as we exited the car park.
Now to my CNY experience for this year. For me, it was a very quiet CNY celebration for me. I went back to Singapore to visit my grandma and i was at home all the time. All I did was hang out in front of the computer or watch some DVDS that were available. Other than that, I met up with some relatives and we had a reunion dinner together. That's about it. Then, I also went back to Ipoh and I basically did almost nothing. I was there for only 1 night because my grandma wasn't at home as she's busy visiting her other relatives that my family wasn't close to. The positive thing was that i received angpows from my close and not-so-close relatives. So that was my CNY for this year.
